https://www.linkedin.com/in/josephdelpercio/
Joe is Director Data Analytics, Data Management, BI Solutions, Engineering. He started at Scientific Games as a Consultant for 2 Years before being moved into this position. He has 40 direct reports and only 8 are FTE. Several of his consultants are H1B and he doesn't care about where people work or their schedule as long as they're getting their work done. Seems like an awesome guy to work for truly!
Joe oversees leadership of all BI Applications, Data Engineering, and Data Management for North America, Canada, India, and parts of EMEA.
- Responsible for data lake for all new technology initiatives.
- Owner of company-wide data management and business intelligence.
- Provide strategic guidance regarding BI and data management to senior leadership.
- Lead segregation of reporting as SA divests its lottery and sports betting business.
Size of IT:
He said all of IT has about 100 contractors in US. A lot more are off shore. 8 of his resources are in India. He has 40 of those people.
His group works with Finance who has Oracle, software Engineering, etc. His group is crucial as reporting is at the basis of everything Scientific Games does.
Must Have Skills/ Requirements: (Top 3-5 or more)
Manager likes/dislikes: (Preferred industry / deal breakers / ideal candidate/soft skills)
Things he looks for in resumes: Doesn't care too much abt job happiness but if they had a 1 month stint and say they've done a million things he would not interview this person.
Reason he hasn't liked other firms:
He's gotten feedback from his Architects and Devs that they cannot speak to anything on their resume and if they really have 15 years of exp they can't technically discuss anything. Says he would be interested in sending us tech questions to vet people out. Says a ton of people have great resumes but can't speak to sh**
