THE JOB
Inside Sales Team Lead
Position Summary the Inside Sales Team Lead drives team revenue performance by leading, coaching, and developing a team of Inside Sales Representatives selling telecommunications products and services, with wireless (mobile) as the primary sales focus, supported by high-speed internet and video/entertainment solutions. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with individual selling skills, ensuring the team meets aggressive quota targets through consultative selling, effective bundling, and strong closing technique — all within a high-volume, performance-driven environment.
Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives, driving individual and team performance against wireless sales, bundling, and revenue targets.

Monitor team performance against key sales metrics (units, upgrades, revenue, conversion rate) and provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.

Support the team in closing complex or high-value sales, stepping in on escalated customer interactions or objections as needed.

Promote and reinforce best practices for consultative selling, bundling internet and entertainment services, and maximizing customer value.

Conduct side-by-side coaching, call/interaction monitoring, and quality reviews to identify coaching opportunities and skill gaps.

Onboard and train new Inside Sales Representatives, including product knowledge, sales techniques, and CRM/systems training.

Analyze team sales data and CRM records to identify trends, coaching opportunities, and areas for process improvement.

Ensure the team stays current on product offerings, pricing updates, promotions, and competitive positioning.

Support scheduling, workload distribution, and day-to-day floor management to ensure adequate coverage for inbound/outbound sales volume.

Partner with sales management to set team targets, incentive structures, and performance improvement plans.

Maintain accurate records of team performance, coaching sessions, and disciplinary documentation as needed.

Required:

3+ years of sales experience, ideally selling bundled or telecommunications products/services, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota.

Prior experience directly leading, supervising, or coaching a sales team (e.g., Team Lead, Sales Supervisor, or similar role) — candidates without prior people-management or sales-coaching experience will not be considered.

Demonstrated success coaching others to improve sales performance and hit quota targets.

Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and sales reporting/performance dashboards.
Preferred:

Experience managing a team of 5+ sales representatives in a high-volume, quota-driven environment.

Proven track record of driving measurable improvement in team sales KPIs (conversion rate, average revenue per sale, upgrade attach rate, etc.).

Experience with quality assurance/call monitoring programs and delivering structured coaching feedback.

Experience developing or delivering sales training materials for new hires.

Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and consultative selling skills, with the ability to model best-in-class sales behavior for the team.

Compensation Base salary plus performance-based incentives tied to team sales results (units, upgrades, revenue, and conversion metrics). Total earnings scale with team performance.
Work Environment This is an inside sales leadership role, based on-site, involving extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and active floor management of a high-volume sales team (phone-based and/or in-person, depending on location).
