Provalus celebrates 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award from the U.S. Department of Labor
October 31, 2024

Today, during a ceremony hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Provalus as a recipient of the 2024 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award. With this award, Provalus joins an elite group of organizations from across the country that are dedicated not only to hiring veterans but helping them build meaningful careers that capitalize on the valuable skills they developed in military service.

“The adaptability, problem-solving, and leadership skills I gained while flying for the Air Force are what I rely on every day in my role at Provalus,” said Provalus Vice President of Customer Experience, Rich Albanese. “It’s fulfilling to work for a company that recognizes the strength veterans bring and offers a platform where we can continue to make a difference.”

Provalus Director of Talent Acquisition, Kate Scraper added, “Hiring veterans is more than just a good practice—it’s a key to unlocking the full potential of our workforce. The precision, teamwork, and innovation veterans bring are unmatched. We are dedicated to actively recruiting and retaining veterans who can contribute meaningfully to our success.”

The HIRE Vets Medallion Program, established by the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act, is the only federal award recognizing employers that go above and beyond in recruiting, hiring, and supporting veterans. To earn a HIRE Vets Medallion, recipients must meet rigorous standards for veteran employment and integration, including benchmarks for hiring and retention, veteran-specific resources, leadership development, HR initiatives, pay, and other key factors. Provalus is proud to support the veteran community and is honored to receive this award.

Challenge A Fortune 300 manufacturing organization faced an overwhelming surge of uninvestigated security alerts with 99% unresolved. Valuable time and resources were wasted investigating false positives, resulting in alert fatigue and diverting focus from proactive security measures and strategic initiatives. This flood of alerts desensitized the security team, impairing their ability to detect and respond to real threats, leaving the company vulnerable to cyberattacks and data breaches, and putting sensitive information and critical systems at risk. The manufacturer lacked a clear understanding of its security posture, making it challenging to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize mitigation efforts effectively. SOLution Facing increasing demands to safeguard intellectual property, ensure business continuity, and maintain partner trust, the client recognized an urgent need for change. They sought a security partner capable of providing advanced threat detection while mitigating alert fatigue, so they could focus on what truly mattered. Enter Provalus, an innovative technology solutions provider known for its unique model of building high-performing teams in rural delivery centers.
